We previously detailed in this article – that if you are flying to Brisbane from Los Angeles on the Saturday VA6 service, you don’t have lounge access. Instead, Virgin will provide a terminal voucher and 10,000 points to Gold and Platinum passengers.

A Virgin Australia spokesperson has now confirmed to The Flight Doc that new lounge arrangements are in place for Virgin’s VA6 service on Saturdays from Los Angeles to Brisbane.

New Lounge Access details are:

For members flying on VA2 (LAX-SYD), VA8 (LAX-BNE except Saturday morning) and VA24 (LAX-MEL):

Platinum and Gold members use the Emirates (EK) Lounge.

  • All other Business class guests use the Etihad (EY) Lounge.
  • Pre-departure emails are sent to members with this detail supplied, along with terminal information given the large terminal move that took place in LAX on 12 May.

For members flying on VA6 (LAX-BNE) on Saturday morning:

Platinum, Gold and other Business cabin guests travelling on the VA6 service will now have access to the Los Angeles International Lounge.
